- No need to explain, just take a casual look first
Hello! You, who are reading this right now, hello there!
Are you male or female, old or young, did you stumble in randomly or come in intentionally after seeing it? I have no idea about any of that, and I’m so curious!
If you could, would you mind leaving that info? )
How’s your day going? But since you’re reading this article, I guess you must have some free time, haha.
As you can see, this article was written just for you, yes, you who are reading it right now! Hey! Don’t go! Although there’s really nothing much here (chuckles), I’m going to tell you the story of me and meta.
Meta, breaking the fourth wall… even though it seems to have become a new trend now, I still think it’s beautiful. The first time I saw it, I thought, ‘Wow, what a great opportunity!’ )
I also remember watching a super long video explaining meta, saw it on Bilibili. The history of meta, it started with eroge, then gal games, and now, as long as there’s a bit of a story, you can meta. So, the next step should be meta without any story at all? Too bad I’m not clever enough to figure out how to do that, but even its current state is pretty good.
Undertale, There Is No Game, Outcore, The Stanley Parable, Doki Doki Literature Club, Oneshot—these are all excellent meta predecessors I’ve played and watched so far. I really wish I could be one of them…
